A Few Words About My Blog Designer

Last week I had a really good question from Charlene http://myheartsease.blogspot.com/      .  She asked me how I got my Good Friends button so large.  Well gals.  I have a confession.  My best friend Jill (aka Polly)   http://feathersandflight.blogspot.com/2010/11/many-blessings.html#comments  is my blog designer.  She got me started blogging just a couple of months ago...and has been patiently leading me along in designing my blog and re-designing my etsy storefront.  I tell you...Jill is a remarkable woman.  She is becoming the most amazing digital artist....Please stop by her blog and see her beautiful work.  She also has the patience of a saint...I vaguely tell her something I want...or am thinking about and she works her magic.

I think Jill and I are sooo fortunate to be living in the same city right now.   We have lived apart in different countries for a while...Then went years with out talking (babies, husbands, careers, ego)..(Let me tell you not talking to your best friend for years is no fun thing)  .... Right now we are trying to have a "design" day once a week...the last few have been so hectic that we haven't made it..(We have had fun shopping and junking, and watching football).  I am hoping nothing gets in the way for us this week...lol.

Black Lace In Paris Vintage Czech Button Necklace

When I saw this lacy black vintage Czech button I knew what I wanted to do with it. A touch of Paris, a small heart locket (never to forget love) and vintage black cut glass beads to accent this lovely button.
On a 19 inch lovely chain...Arrives to you in a beautiful little gift box

Freebie Thanksgiving Greetings Post Card 1919 Free Image

It amazes me that every time I go through my stack of antique post cards I find a new one that I have overlooked.  This is a beautiful tom turkey.  The medalion is one of a kind.  The angel cook is very cute too (and kind of strange don't you think?)  I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Ok..,Here She Is At Last...My First Czech Glass Button Necklace

This Czech glass button brings to my mind the stunning winter sunsets I sometimes am blessed with seeing out my kitchen window. The summer ones are beautiful too. But a winter sunset..against the storm grey clouds...when the sun tired of giving in to all the northwest rain stands up and says "Here I am" is extra special.

A vintage brass cupid, tiny locket, sweet baby rose, key, and sparkling rhinestone orb complete the vintage feel of this long necklace.
It measures about 30 inches. This is a one of a kind piece. I have only one button of this color and style in my treasure box.
Necklace will come in a beautiful gift box.

I do ship international. Convo me for exact rates

Buttons... Buttons....Learning to Play With Buttons

This is the first step in creating something new....Last weekend Jill (Feathers and Flight) and I had fun dreaming and buying buttons at Gem Faire. Yesterday I sorted through allll my supplies..(really if you knew me you would laugh..I have rooms (really rooms) of beads, lace, ribbon, Christmas ornaments, ephemra on and on.)...pulling out treasures to pair with these stunning hand crafted button gems. Filigree wrapping is new to me, my style for years has been more southwest silver. But..working closely with Jill on our blogs and other craft projects this year has me exploring my more romantic...Jane Austin side. It has always been there...Just hiding I think. Enjoy this journey with me...as I explore a new side of my jewelry design.
