Vintage Carriage Full Of Songbirds Digital Stamp Illustration Free Image
Oh goodness it has been
so long since I have been on my blog.
The last couple of months have been busy
and I just did not have the energy at the
end of the day to stop in and keep
things updated.
Summer is here at last
things have slowed just a bit.
So
Tonight I have a lovely
sweet vintage illustration of
a carriage full of songbirds.

Friday Free Clip Art Page From Tochter Album Family Crests of Germany
I was strolling through my files this morning
looking for something new to post for you.
This beautiful page is from
a lovely antique book called
Tochter Album
I think that translates into
Daughter Album.
It has so many beautiful plates.
Colorful and detailed.
I hope you enjoy this piece today.
It has so many beautiful elements.
The castles, banners, badges.
Happy Friday!!

Vintage Chinatown Postcards San Francisco USA 1940s
I recently found this fantastic set of
tinted vintage post cards. The traveler
who collected them really had an eye
for her area (Yes-I say her because she made
notes on some of the cards)
It looks like she tried to find the photo or a
photo card that matched the tinted cards
she found. The whole collection
is very interesting.
I hope you enjoy them.

Maps United States of America 1819 Free Vintage Image
Recently I came across a fantastic student book
filled with hand drawn maps. If you are old enough
(eek--like me)
you may remember doing these sheets or booklets in
class. I still have mine from 1st through 6th grade
but we used crayons so mine never ever looked like
this.
I love how artistic this map is. It has been all hand
colored with pencils.
I will be posting all of the maps from
this students booklet. She has pages of
study notes and all the state maps too.
Wonderful.
I hope you enjoy this piece.

Beautiful Woman Butterfly From Life Magazine Free PNG Image
Well...this is one of those images
that I should probably not of played with.
It comes off the internet from the
cover of an old LIFE magazine.
I just love these butterfly women and
could not resist making her into a
PNG image for my
collection of butterflies.
I do not have the artists name
and nor do I have the original link
it came from since I picked it up
years ago.
Please keep this image for your own use.
Thank you so much
Enjoy!!

Vintage Button and Sewing Notion Collection From Leaping Frog Designs
Sometime in early October
as I was sifting through
eBay one evening
I came across a button
that intrigued me.
Rather large, made of metal
it was part of a larger lot.
I placed a bid and went
along my merry way.
7 days later in my inbox
the message that I had "Won"
my lovely button and
her sisters.
I have plans for that button...It is going to
be my master for one done
in silver with tiny fresh water
pearls from the Willamette River
But....
Was I ever surprised by what came with it.
Beautiful beautiful buttons
Glass, lovely Victorians, Bakelite and
Mother of Pearl.
Rhinestones, Silver, Brass, Gold
Sigh
Button heaven
Buckles of several eras and
types
Some beautiful packages
of needles
I love the wood needle case and
when I slip my fingers into
the thimbles I can just
imagine the hours and hours
of mending or dress making
they had helped make.
There are many more items
that I did not take pictures of
Tiny perfume boxes filled with little
shell buttons, another filled with
needles and pins.
A true treasure trove.
Some of these pieces may
make it into other projects.
For now they have found a new
home with me. I will cherish them
for years to come.
